Dehesa is a charcuterie and tapas bar inspired by the cuisine of Spain and Italy. It opened in January 2008 and is the sister restaurant to Salt Yard in Fitzrovia and Opera Tavern in Covent Garden, offering sharing dishes served in a relaxed environment. The restaurant is named after the Dehesa- a unique woodland area in Spain which is home to the black-footed Ibérico pigs – said to produce the best ham in the world. This reflects our commitment to quality and provenance and our dedication to carefully sourced products. Pop in to share a board of the finest Jamón Ibérico carved to order along with a plate of manchegos with quince – accompanied with a glass of cold Fino.
Try some courgette flowers stuffed with goats’ cheese and drizzled with honey or some chargrilled tiger prawns with smoked garlic butter and rosemary- washed down with a glass of crisp Albariño. Or how about chargrilled lamb chops with fresh peas, broad beans and mint and a glass of Pinot Nero. Bookings taken for lunch and dinner Monday to Friday as well as Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. Our Private Dining Room is available to book lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and Sunday lunch.
Really great host! Very attentive - food was superb!
nice place for brunch
I've dined here numerous times - the food iss absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere.
We hired the private dining room for a hen night. The service was excellent. We had a couple of people with food allergies, one of which was announced at the last minute, and the staff were extremely helpful, going through the menus with people and offering different options. The communication before the event was prompt and helpful. The room was a perfect setting and the food was delicious. Thanks for a fantastic evening!
Excellent all round
The red wine (Rioja) I bought which was £40, I'd have been disappointed with if it had been £10!!!!
Personally, and being Spanish, I think it is a bit overpriced. In the same way I think the service should be improved and pay more attention to the detail. Example: we asked for a G&T and the waiter brought the glass with the gin and the bottle of the tonic and did not served it, just left it in the table. Overall my experience was standard, nothing special and, for sure, not repeating.
All the food was delicious, and service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
